BKN 2020
On July 1, 2020, the association Björkö Konstnod received the contract for the former Björkö–Arholma school.
During two intensive weeks, the buildings were emptied and cleaned, and one by one the studios were opened.
On July 18, 2020, the first artists began working in the studios.
Björkö Ateljérunda was the first to use the former gym hall, hosting a group exhibition.
The contract and the support from LEADER were finalized only in mid‑November.

BKN, Oct 2020
During their stay at AiR BKN, the Shooting Association Sierra was formed.
It is an artistic project initiated by Andreas Sandberg (b. 1989) and Adam Haugbak (b. 1991). The association is interested in the presence of shooting practices in society and culture, and seeks to highlight both historical and contemporary expressions of this through artistic projects. With the studio and its surroundings as a base, we aim to develop methods for drawing attention to the association’s activities and to the mechanisms embedded within shooting as a practice.
The association is interested in the presence of shooting practices in society and culture, and seeks to illuminate historical and contemporary expressions of this. During their stay at Björkö Konstnod, the Shooting Association carried out its first exercises. Drawing on ideas and materials gathered from the surrounding landscape, the association developed a sculptural and spatial installation integrated at a selected site along Stora Marumsvägen. By referencing targets, eyes, and points of focus, the installation suggests a training ground for perception.
Artists are based in Stockholm & Gothenburg.
