Workshop Maria Magnusson – Alternative Processes
On 12 August 2026, BKN welcomed artist Maria Magnusson for a one-day workshop exploring alternative, analog, and eco-friendly photographic processes.
The workshop focused on two experimental techniques: caffenol and phytograms. The day began with a short presentation and introduction to alternative photographic practices, followed by a hands-on session where participants mixed their own caffenol developer and developed analog film in 135 mm or 120 mm formats.
Ateljérundan 2026 at Björkö Konstnod presents a members’ exhibition and open studios where BKN artists showcase their ongoing projects, processes, and works. The page highlights a diversity of artistic expressions and offers visitors the opportunity to engage deeply with both local and international artistic practices.
Björkö Konstnod presented “The House of Performance” at SUPERMARKET 2026 in the Slakthusområdet, Stockholm. The installation consisted of eight performance‑based works created by 15 BKN artists and curators. By combining video, photography, objects, and live actions, the project brought together works developed during residencies over the past five years alongside newly commissioned pieces.
Detroit Stockholm at BKN
During one week at BKN, different members of Detroit Stockholm worked on a range of
projects. Charlotta Hayes, Paula Elion, and Laetitia Deschamps experimented with
anthotypes. Sanna Fogelvik worked in BKN’s photo laboratory. Malin Neuman continued
working on her textile project, while Tina Willgren focused on her 3D animation project.
Jenny Soap explored nature in Björkö as part of the development of a performance combining drawing and music.
