My name is Juji Cowles and I’m a 21 year old experimental fashion designer and textile artist! I grew up in Los Angeles California, and I own a small business called Heavenly Mirage. I’ve been knitting and crocheting since I was 8 years old, and now I’m branching into other textile arts like leather making, latex production, and weaving.
During my stay at BKN I plan on making a small collection of garments using new textile techniques I’ve been working on. I plan to incorporate weaving, hand made fish leather, latex, and other techniques in my pieces.
These garments will reflect my brand and personal identity, as a lot of big changes have been happening in my life recently. My goal is to push myself outside of my comfort zone and learn something new!
