Often our creative process is diluted by financial insecurity and a lack of basic infrastructure. The opportunity to be able to concentrate on the research and production of a new or ongoing project is deeply valuable for our development as artists in the global south.  

Addressing themes of fear, nostalgia, memory and admiration. Through a delicate interplay of light and shadow, Palatnic challenges the limits of the intangible as a point of view. Her artistry is characterized by a compelling blend of vulnerability and precision, inviting us to confront the complexities of our own emotional experiences.

During the stay at BKN  I’m dedicating myself intensively on a deeper understanding of the emotional landscapes throughout human existence and experiences. Extending my initial studies towards a production of larger paintings on the themes of nostalgia, fear and sheltering through the abstract windows of my paintings.
